PLASMA CANVAS Release New Video from KILLERMAJESTIC
Listen and Watch The Music Video For “Flux” Now on SideOneDummy Records’ YouTube Channel
October 28, 2020 – Fort Collins, Colorado – PLASMA CANVAS have released a new music video for “Flux,” the final track on the band’s KILLERMAJESTIC EP released on SideOneDummy Records. The new music video for “Flux“ can be seen exclusively on SideOneDummy Records’ YouTube Channel. The song was produced by Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins.
Life as we know it has changed. “Flux” is a visual love letter to the simple act of playing a gig with friends.
“While we wanted to give something sweet and sentimental to our fans, the nostalgia wouldn’t be complete without a little tinge of grief,” says guitarist and vocalist Adrienne Rae Ash, “There’s a certain gravity that builds toward the end of the video when you start to realize that these clips of people smiling and dancing and sweating and singing together are all in the past and we have absolutely none of that right now. It was important to us that we show how incredible and loving and cathartic our shows and crowds can be, but in order to do that, we felt that we needed to pull the rug out from under the viewer and show them what it looks like and how it feels when everyone is gone.”
To create the heartfelt video, PLASMA CANVAS were fortunate enough their friend Aaron Saye step in to direct. Saye is not only a legend himself, he runs the Seventh Circle Music Collective in Denver.
“We filmed the video at Seventh Circle Music Collective, which is a legendary Denver DIY venue,” explains Ash. “It was actually the first venue I ever performed at in Colorado when I moved here with just $60, some clothes and my guitars. Aaron has been one of the most amazing friends I’ve ever had and I trust him with my life. Aaron and I met in Kansas City at an Against Me!/Gaslight Anthem show in 2014. The meeting changed my life. He was the perfect person to help create our sentimental feels-fest of a video.”
The song “Flux” is available for streaming on all digital platforms.

20 years ago, Swagger impacted the punk and rock music worlds as an utterly unique statement from an undeniably incredible group of musicians, who to that point had been honing the songs in increasingly packed bars until all were razor sharp. Swagger would go on to serve as the blueprint for an entire style of modern punk rock, melding classic punk with Celtic roots and instrumentation.
Dave King, frontman for Flogging Molly, had the following to share about the upcoming reissue:
“Never in our wildest dreams did we ever imagine that 20 years on, we would be celebrating the release of our first studio album, Swagger. Yet here we are, a little older, maybe none the wiser, but very grateful for what has been an amazing experience.
More than 20 years ago we set sail for Chicago, the home of Electrical Audio and the wonderful Steve Albini. With a fistful of songs, from ‘Salty Dog’ to ‘Far Away Boys’, we plugged in and belted out everything we had and made sure that no song was left behind. Little did we know that Swagger would become the breaking ground, and the sound, of Flogging Molly.
So, we would like to thank you all for the last 20 years of wonderful memories,
and hopefully many more to come.”
From our family to yours,
Dave King / Flogging Molly

Listen and Watch The Music Video For “Fixed It All” Now on BrooklynVegan
August 20, 2020 – Paris, France – Pærish has signed to SideOneDummy Records. The indie, alternative rock band has released their new music video for “Fixed It All“, which can be seen exclusively on BrooklynVegan today. The song was produced and mixed by Will Yip. Watch it now HERE.
“Fixed it All” is the first song off our new forthcoming album that we recorded in the US with Will Yip,” says guitarist and vocalist Mathias Court. “It’s a song that sums up the album in that it’s a much darker, heavier than what we’ve made in the past both sonically and lyrically. It’s about the depression I felt losing one of my best friends and questioning the decisions in my life.”
The song will be available for streaming on all digital platforms on Friday, August 21, 2020 HERE.
The members of Pærish met at film school in Paris, and adopted the name based on the awkward, skinny kid character Alan Parrish in Jumanji (starring Robin Williams, not The Rock). Their collective primary passion in life for music eventually led the members to focus on writing songs over scripts and concentrate on performing on concert stages as opposed to working on movie sets. Their collective love for film can be found in song titles and lyrics. It’s this marriage of film and music that resonates with listeners. Pærish songs provide the soundtrack to love, loss and trying to make sense of the world around them.
Pærish has supported bands in Europe like Silversun Pickups, Movements and Moose Blood. They also opened for Sum 41 during their European arena tour.

Dipping back into his roots, new EP ‘Rites’ is a blazing return, one underpinned by that sense of gospel communion. Future soul with an R&B twist, it’s powerful songwriting that offers a glimpse of extremes.– Clash Magazine

Extremely different. Extremely good. Tolliver should be chosen as the star of the hour because he created with his “Rites” EP more than a reverberating marvel.– e1nenhabichnoch
Masterfully built out of pulsing vocal samples and swelling synths, creating a bed for his soft but striking voice, it is the work of an artist ready to be lauded.– Complete Music Update
July 31, 2020 – Emerging Alternative R&B artist Tolliver’s new EP ThinBlackDuke is out now along with the music video to the single “Drugs in College”. Watch the music video here.
Tolliver says, “ThinBlackDuke is a party record about guilt. It’s about the feeling put upon me by the world, while acknowledging – and sometimes reveling in – all fuckboi behavior that gets me mired in bs. The EP plays like a tide. The tide comes in, my confidence rises – “Petty,” “Drugs in College,” “Owe Me Money.” The tide rolls out – “Agape,” “Swing My Way.” Sonically it’s a pop record with R&B and gospel overtones, churchy-ass harmonies, and confessional lyrics over slickly-produced tracks meant for banging at the bar mitzvah, the club, and the chiropractor’s office.”
He continues about the single “Drugs In College” saying, “This is a Candyland dream for those who like to get high without ever coming down. Why repent when you can indulge? Why wake up when you could sleep through it all? Why drink water when there’s a drink sitting right next to you? How convenient! The song glorifies addiction as a means of taking away the power of said addictions, giving in to relieve the tension of trying to hold off. Commit crimes, destroy private property, do all the destructive things you’re scared to do but secretly would love to.”
Written and recorded with all-star production team The Architects (Miguel, Alicia Keys) – ThinBlackDuke, is equal parts unbridled hedonism and morning-after regret, a conflicted party record that blurs the lines between soul, funk, R&B, and hip-hop as it grapples with sex and jealousy, money and betrayal, self-doubt and self-control. Tolliver, whose bisexual identity and appetite for debauchery are frequently at odds with his strict religious upbringing, writes with a keen observational eye and lacerating wit. His lyrics are raw and unfiltered, at times hilarious, but there’s a swift undercurrent of guilt that flows just beneath the surface.
Today, Nahko And Medicine For The People release their new album Take Your Power Back (Medicine Tribe/SideOneDummy Records), an expansive 18-track manifesto addressing the spiritual, physical and emotional evolution that comes from learning to love yourself. Executive produced by cut&dry and Dan Fratoni, Take Your Power Back sees Nahko venturing into new musical territories by fusing conscious lyricism with genre-bending production.
“This album was birthed by a rude awakening,” says Nahko. “Amidst a series of sudden harsh changes, I found myself embarking on a quest for help with a fierce desire to heal, and writing these songs was my therapy. They’re deeply personal; the most I’ve shared about my personal journey of self love to date, and, true to my nature, there is joyous victory that blankets the most painful topics. Take Your Power Back is a mindset and mantra. It means being accountable, acknowledging traumas, and doing the hard vulnerable work of confronting the shadows. I am reclaiming my voice, my boundaries, and my medicine.”
Nahko will celebrate the release of Take Your Power Back during a virtual release party airing live on Facebook and YouTube tonight at 4 PM PT/7 PM ET. He’ll perform songs from the album, converse with special guests, and answer fan questions about Take Your Power Back, in addition to giveaways and other surprises.
Take Your Power Back offers a message of hope and healing that resonates even more deeply in 2020. Throughout the album, Nahko faces the challenges that come from self-forgiveness, using music as a balm for healing. Early single “Twisted” celebrates the courage it takes to prioritize self-love, and “Part Problem” is an ode to owning our responsibilities for the paths we choose in life.
The album’s lead single “Lifeguard” is currently in the Top 40 on the AAA chart. Album standout “Garden” landed on multiple New Music Friday playlists the week it arrived, as well as Spotify’s Renegade Folk, Stress Free and Apple Music Alt-Hot Tracks playlists, with “Twisted” earning placement on Spotify’s Contemporary Blend and Fin de Journée playlists.
Last month, Nahko performed album cut “Honor The Earth” as part of Earth Day Live alongside Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz and more, plus appearances by Al Gore, Pope Francis, and many other prominent environmental advocates.
Nahko recently spoke to Live For Live Music about the new album, astrology, and life on his Oregon ranch. Read their full interview here: https://bit.ly/3bxqq4T
