The Smoking Popes teamed up with Side One Dummy records to release their milestone album Destination Failure on wax to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release.
The album is available now to order at the Side One Dummy Webstore
The vinyl release of the album is limited to 1000 copies. Comes as a double LP on black wax, each copy includes a signed insert by the band and features 3 unreleased bonus songs form the original sessions.
The Smoking Popes are set to tour at the end of April in support of the limited edition release.
The album carries across the work of the late Jerry Finn, whose list of accomplishments in record producing include landmark punk rock albums such as Enema of the State and Take off Your Pants and Jacket by Blink-182, as well as Dear You by Jawbreaker
“There’s an immediacy to the music that still comes through,” says lead singer Josh Caterer, “a lot has to do with Jerry Finn. He was such a brilliant producer. We were very lucky to work with him.”
