Artist On Artist: Jeff Rosenstock & The Gaslight Anthem

This year marks the 20th anniversary of SideOneDummy so to celebrate, we asked our bands to cover other bands on the label. We’re all one big happy family over here and this just goes to prove it.

Here’s Death Rosenstock putting their own ska spin on THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM‘s “The 59 Sound” live from our office!

Watch Wil from The Smith Street Band covering Violent Soho‘s “In The Aisle” here and stay tuned for more of our new Artist On Artist series!

Help JEFF ROSENSTOCK get his gear back!

Some shitty news today but we hope that by sharing this post, we can track some of this stuff down. Jeff Rosenstock and his band had their van broken into today in San Francsico at Protrero and 19th. Below are a bunch of photos of the missing gear but they’ve basically lost everything– Jeff’s two guitars, Mike’s guitar, John’s bass, Kevin’s hardware and cymbals, and their keyboard amp (not to mention all of their clothes!).

Jess Flynn was kind enough to share these photos so take a close look and let us know if you catch any of these items in a pawn shop in town or anywhere online.

Hit up Jeff on social media OR reach out to us with any information ASAP at!

If you want to donate money to help Jeff and the band get their gear back in order, please visit this GoFundMe page:

Welcome ASTRONAUTALIS to the family!

When you first find out that we’ve signed a “rapper,” you might do a double take. But when you learn that Minneapolis-based musical mastermind Andy Bothwell, better known by his stage name Astronautalis, spent multiple summers on the Vans Warped Tour, and counts people like Sean Bonnette of Andrew Jackson Jihad among his personal friends, then the news of his signing to SideOneDummy should come as no surprise. Honestly, we have a lot in common with him and we can’t wait to release the brand new Astronautalis album in 2016!

Today, fans can hear “SIKE!,” a blistering new single from Astronautalis. Produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Bill Callahan) and beat by Adam Pickrell (St. Vincent), it’s a feisty and assertive track featuring horns by Reggie Pace (Bon Iver, No BS! Brass Band) that The A.V. Club declares is “brimming with energy and befitting of its exclamation point.”
