Welcome SUPERHEAVEN to the S1D Family

GUESS WHAT WE DID?!?!?!We signed Superheaven!Screen Shot 2014-08-05 at 9.20.45 AM

In what might be the industry’s worst kept secret, we finally announced that we’ll be working w/ the dudes on their new LP, the highly-anticipated follow up to their smash debut Jar. The band will head to Studio 4 in Philadelphia this October with longtime friend and producerWill Yip to work on their second full length and SideOneDummy debut, due spring 2015. Before that, Run For Cover Records will re-release the bands debut LP Jar in the U.S. and we will do the same in Europe, releasing “Life In A Jar” as a single on 9/1 and the full length on 9/22, just before they embark on their firstEuropean headlining tour with Nai Harvest as support.

Look at all the nice things singer/guitarist Taylor Madison had to say about us:

“We’re excited to have signed to SideOneDummy because it’s something different for us. We just felt like it was the right move. Try out something new and see what happens. The people at the label couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, so we really look forward to working with them.”Aw, Tay!Screen Shot 2014-08-04 at 9.45.28 AM

Combined with relentless touring across the U.S. and Europe since the band first formed in 2007, Superheaven has spent the last five years honing their dread and despair across four EPs and an impressive debut LP, Jar. Each release showcases their talent for writing both intricately heavy and delicately emotional songs, a pattern that will most certainly continue with power producer Will Yip behind the board again (Title Fight, Balance And Composure, Circa Survive) for their highly anticipated follow up.

Taylor adds: “I think we found our comfort zone with Jar and now that we’re comfortable, we’re trying to go just outside that. Plenty of people will say it’s too much this or too much that but people are morons and will say that no matter what we put out, so we don’t care.”
