Today, PUP is stoked to finally announce the release of their self-titled debut album on April 8, 2014!

Pre-orders for the album are now available via:

Produced by Dave Schiffman (The Mars Volta, Weezer, Biffy Clyro), PUP’s debut album is the perfect fusion of raw punk with big hooks and scream-along choruses. The record delivers catchy earworms from beginning to end, from the gut-wrenching, CBC #1 single “Reservoir” to the undeniable party anthem “Lionheart” and the crushing album opener “Guilt Trip,” which is currently streaming via Spin Magazine.

“We wanted to make an album that captured what we do live,” says vocalist Stefan Babcock. “We recorded mostly live off the floor and there are a lot of mistakes on the album but they’re real and awesome, and it sounds like us, playing our songs. That’s all I’ve ever wanted out of a punk rock record.”

PUP is an undeniably infectious band with reckless, visceral energy oozing from their every pore. In just two short years, they’ve taken both Canada and the United States by storm, sharing stages with the likes of Fucked Up, Titus Andronicus, AFI, So So Glos, Yuck, Cancer Bats and many more. Earlier this month, PUP played NME’s Award Show in London before going on a co-headline run with UK garage punks, Slaves.

Comedian and author Greg Behrendt joined fellow comedians Erik Griffin (Workaholics), Ron Babcock (Adam Devine’s House Party), Helen Hong (Arsenio Hall), Joe Sib and more last week for the second edition of the SideOneDummy Storytellers show.

The clip below features Greg, who penned the 2004 New York Times bestseller He’s Just Not That Into You, sharing his story of the first time he met David Lee Roth and what led him to finally break it off with his favorite band.

The SideOneDummy Storytellers show is the product of a lifelong friendship between SideOneDummy Records co-owner Joe Sib and producer Jeff Tully. Once a month, the two transform SideOneDummy’s Hollywood office into a full-on performance space, complete with professional lighting and sound, for this exclusive, invite-only event. Each Storytellers show features a mix of comedians and musicians sharing tales centered around that particular month’s theme.

non-typical_7in COVER copy

The 7-inch contains two versions of his recently released single “Non Typical” – album version (Side A) and alternate version (Side B). RollingStone recently revealed the song to the world and affirmed that it was “an impassioned, undeniable shot of sing-along Americana”.

Vinyl can be pre-ordered here:

In addition, Ragan will be introducing a rebirth of his all-star backing band The Camaraderie through the first installment of his Live From SideOneDummy Sessions, which were filmed at SideOneDummy Records office in Hollywood, CA during November 2013. The Camaraderie consists of Jon Gaunt (fiddle), Joe Ginsberg (bass), Todd Beene of Lucero and Glossary (pedal steel, electric guitar), David Hidalgo Jr. of Social Distortion (drums), and Rami Jaffee of The Wallflowers and Foo Fighters (accordion, glockenspiel, organ).

If you Yelp what’s going on Philadelphia lately, you’ll see they’re serving up the best punk sandwich in the whole damn country. The folks over at Noisey/VICE (we’re looking at you, Dan Ozzi!) certainly noticed and compiled this great list of some of Philly’s best punk bands right now, including our own Restorations!
